Hey Lykkers! Who doesn't love the smell of fresh bread baking in the kitchen?

If you're someone who enjoys homemade bread or just wants a healthier, more satisfying option for breakfast, this recipe is for you! Making bread at home is much easier than you might think, and the result is incredibly delicious. Let's get started on making soft, fluffy homemade bread.

Gathering Ingredients

To make our delicious homemade bread, we'll need the following ingredients:

• 320g of high-gluten flour

• 50g of low-gluten flour

• 1 egg

• 180g of milk

• 45g of butter

• 65g of sugar (feel free to adjust this based on your taste)

• 5g of yeast

These ingredients are pretty simple and easy to find. The combination of high-gluten and low-gluten flour will give us a perfect texture for the bread, while the butter and sugar add richness and sweetness.

Step 1: Mix and Knead the Dough

First things first, let's melt the butter. Once it's melted, we'll combine it with all the other ingredients in a bowl. Use your hands or a spoon to mix everything together until you get a smooth dough. Don't worry about kneading for too long—just enough to get everything well-combined and smooth. You want a dough that's smooth but not too sticky.

Step 2: Let It Rise

Now that we've got our dough, it's time to let it rise. Place the dough in a warm environment and cover it with a clean kitchen towel. Let it rise for about 2 hours until it doubles in size. If it's winter or the room is a bit cold, the rising process may take a little longer, but don't worry, you'll know it's ready when you poke it, and the dough doesn't bounce back. This is when the dough has had enough time to become nice and fluffy.

Step 3: Knead Again

Once the dough has risen, it's time for another kneading session! This time, we knead it just a little longer to make it even smoother. Kneading it a bit more helps the bread achieve layers and makes the texture lighter. After kneading, divide the dough into six equal portions. You can shape them however you like—I made some into round dinner rolls and others into longer loaf shapes.

Step 4: Shaping and Second Rise

For the dinner rolls, shape the dough into smooth, round balls. For the loaf, roll the dough into a long rectangle and then roll it up tightly. Once you've shaped your dough, it's time for a second rise. Let the dough rest for another 30 minutes to 1 hour, or until it becomes light and puffy. The dough should feel light when you pick it up.

For a little extra flair, brush the top of the dinner rolls with honey (or egg yolk if you prefer). You can also sprinkle some black sesame seeds on top. For the loaf-style bread, use a tool to score a few lines across the top (dipping the tool in a little water can help prevent it from sticking). Sprinkle a bit of flour on top for a rustic look.

Step 5: Baking Time!

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake the bread for about 15 minutes. Keep an eye on it as ovens can vary. You'll know the bread is done when it's golden brown on the top, and when you tap the top, it sounds hollow.

Step 6: Enjoy Fresh, Homemade Bread

Once the bread is done baking, take it out of the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. When you slice into it, you'll see how soft and fluffy it is on the inside. The aroma of freshly baked bread will fill your kitchen, making it the perfect treat for breakfast, lunch, or even as a snack.

Making bread at home is not only rewarding but also allows you to control exactly what goes into it. The soft, buttery flavor of this bread will make you want to bake it again and again. It's perfect for anyone in your family, even picky eaters! So Lykkers, why not try it out yourself? I bet you'll be surprised by how simple it is to make fresh, soft bread at home. Happy baking!
