If you've ever been that person at the airport trying to shift stuff from one bag to another while sweating in line (been there 😅), you know how real the packing struggle is.

Today, I'm sharing how I pack my luggage smartly—so it's not overweight and I can still find everything without digging forever. Trust me, it took a few messy trips to get this system down.

1. Start with a list 📝

I used to just throw stuff into my suitcase and hope for the best… major mistake. Now I always make a packing list, even for short trips. I break it down into:

• Clothes

• Toiletries

• Tech gear

• Travel docs

• Snacks (yes, snacks are a must 😂)

This way, I only pack what I actually need—and avoid tossing in random "just in case" items that add extra weight.

2. Roll, don't fold 👕

Rolling clothes is such a game-changer. It saves space, keeps wrinkles away, and makes it easier to spot everything. I even roll my socks and underwear into little bundles and tuck them into shoes or corners. So efficient!

💡 Bonus tip: Pack outfits together. Like, roll your top, bottom, and underwear in one roll—ready to grab and go!

3. Use packing cubes (life-saver!) 🧳

I resisted these for so long, but wow—they make organizing so much easier. I use one cube for tops, one for bottoms, one for sleepwear, and one for “other stuff” like swimsuits or gym clothes. I even keep a small one for laundry!

Packing cubes keep everything in place and help if you need to repack on the go.

4. Weigh before you go! ⚖️

I keep a small luggage scale at home. It's super cheap and saves me from stressful surprises at the airport. I always aim for 2-3kg under the airline limit just in case I shop a little while I'm away (which… let's be honest, always happens 😅).

5. Essentials in your carry-on 🎒

Things like chargers, meds, travel documents, and one extra outfit always go in my carry-on. You never know when a flight gets delayed or a suitcase goes missing (knock on wood). Having those things within reach = peace of mind.

6. Shoes at the bottom 👟

I usually bring 2 pairs max: one I wear, and one in my luggage. I put the packed pair in shoe bags (or even shower caps in a pinch!) and stack them at the bottom by the wheels to balance the weight.
